Summerhill Occupation
The Summerhill Occupation took place in August 2018, when campaigners occupied a building in Summerhill, which was then empty, but had been used by the landlord up to a few months before to cram in several people per room in poor conditions. The occupation called for local council purchases of empty buildings, public housing on public land, tenant rights and rent controls.
