Commentary From The Cedar Lounge Revolution
3rd June 2024
This edition of Voice of Revolution advertises a Meeting in Buswells Hotel commemorating the 61st Anniversary of the Death of Lenin. It assets ‘Take up the path of Lenin and the Bolshevik Party’. It also advertises a meeting in the same location to ‘Remember Bloody Sunday!’ hosted by ‘Spirit of Freedom’.
The headline over the front page Article is ‘Step up the mass struggles against Imperialism, Fascism and War!’. This is an open letter to Comrades and Fellow Working People of Ireland and covers a range of areas, from British Imperialism to ‘a system of national betrayal operated by so-called ‘constitutional nationalists’ in the southern “Free” State’ and ‘the rotten system in Ireland is throwing the people out of their jobs and has turned about one third of the whole population into official paupers’. This piece is accompanied by photographs of Spirit of Freedom protests and ‘May Day in Socialist Albania’.
The piece continues with the exhortation that ‘The objective situation in Ireland the necessity of the people to get organised’. And it argues that ‘The masses of the people, and this means individual by individual, MUST THROW OFF THE ILLUSIONS SPREAD AMONGST THEM BY THE RULING BOURGEOISIE AND TAKE UP STRUGGLE FOR THEIR RIGHTS AND TO BRING FUNDAMENTAL CHANGE THEMSELVES’.
And it states:
This is what all the oppressed people of Ireland must do – face up to the facts of today’s world and the present imperialist world order. What the imperialists and bourgeoisie are saying against revolution is completely wrong. Revolutions have made great achievements…
It concludes:
And those who take up and uphold Marxism-Leninism must, as a matter of principle, actually join and come under the discipline of the Communist Party of Ireland (Marxist-Leninist). The Marxist-Leninists are those who grasp the objective necessity to build a single headquarters of the working class, with a steel like unity, the need to smash the divisive pro-capitalist, sham ‘socialists’ and ‘communist’ parties, in order to to unite the working class and national as a whole to get organised for the revolution to smash the British imperialism and the native exploiters.
