About
The Fourth International (FI) is a Trotskyist international organisation, established in 1938 when Trotsky and his supporters were expelled from the Comintern.
In 1953 a number of national affiliates (most prominently, the Socialist Workers’ Party in the US and the British section, The Club (later the Socialist Labour League)) opposed to the views of Michel Pablo established the International Committee of the Fourth International (ICFI), in opposition to the FI leadership, the International Secretariat (ISFI), and were expelled.
