About
The Official Republican Movement was formed in the wake of a split in the Workers’ Party in the late 1990s. The ORM has more recently become the Irish Republican Comrades Association.
Note: ‘the official republican movement’ also refers more generally to those groups on the ‘official’ side of the 1969 Sinn Féin split. For those parties, see Sinn Féin (Official) and Workers’ Party.
