About
The Irish Women’s Liberation Movement was a short-lived but influential alliance in the early 1970s. Prominent members included Nell McCafferty, Mary Kenny and Nuala Fennell. It published a manifesto entitled Chains or Change.
In 1972, the group’s name was changed to Women’s Liberation Movement. A number of other groups arose from the alliance at this time.
