The Belfast Anarchist Group was formed in October 1968 and was active until 1973. A core group then formed the Belfast Libertarian Group, but it lasted only until 1974.
A pamphlet by Michael Hall, A History of the Belfast Anarchist Group and Belfast Libertarian Group 1968–1974 (Island Pamphlets, 2019), gives a fuller account of the group and is available to read on the Cain website .
