Many thanks to Ciarán who forwarded these to the Archive, these are some of those election materials including from Sinn Féin, the SDLP and PBP which are being posted up over the next while – these and others from the parties of the centre and right will also be hosted on the Irish Election Literature site which is the home of electoral materials.
This is a particularly interesting document, and a first for the Archive, since it is from Cross-Community Labour Alternative candidate Councillor Donal O’Cofaigh. CCLA was initiated by the Socialist Party in 2016 and contested the Assembly elections that year. When the Socialist Party split in 2019 O’Cofaigh remained with the Militant Left group. O’Cofaigh had previously been a Sinn Féin councillor but joined the Socialist party in 2009. He ran as a local councillor for the SP under the CCLA banner in 2019 where he gained the seat.
